My 2012 SEO Conference Wish List

Each year I look at the conference calendar to see which I feel will be the most beneficial to me. This year I am looking at the calendar slightly differently as I want to pitch for speaking slots as well as attend as an attendee.

Below I have highlighted the conferences that I want to attend as a member of the audience, and possible pitch to speak at some events.

BrightonSEO

This has become one of the must attend events every time that it is held. Last year BrightonSEO sold 600 tickets in less than 30minutes, which tells you exactly how popular and valuable it has become.

Kelvin Newman, the founder of BrightonSEO has continued to increase the capacity of the event each time, providing the very best speakers from across the SEO industry.

I am hoping that I will be able to attend both BrightonSEOs this year and maybe be in a position to speak at the event in 2013.. 🙂

Speaking at A4U London 18/19th October 2011

I was recently informed that I will be accompanying Kevin Gibbons speaking at A4U London. Although this is exciting news, I am also a bit nervous as it will be my very first conference.

Our presentation will cover many different strategies to help affiliates navigate the panda update by improving SEO both on and off-site. Below is an outline of what our presentation will be about.

Google’s ‘Panda’ algorithm update sent shockwaves through the online community earlier this year, and many affiliate sites have struggled to rank well ever since. But all is not lost – this presentation will cover a number of strategies and concepts which affiliates can use to improve their Google organic search traffic. In particular, we’ll look at how an affiliate can develop their site as a trusted online brand, with the aim of boosting traffic from organic search.
